In my previous roles, I’ve had the pleasure of working in some pretty cool industries. In the Fashion Industry, I rocked the role of Trend Manager & Buyer at Vanity. I managed the trend department, conducted extensive trend research, and even set up photo shoots and company events for line reviews. Talk about staying ahead of the game! I jet-setted to New York, Los Angeles, Europe, and Asia to shop the latest trends and make sure we were always on point. Oh, and did I mention I was responsible for buying a whopping $20 Million volume in multiple departments? Yeah, I know how to make things happen!
As a Corporate Manager at MAC’s Inc. in the Hardware Industry, I was responsible for buying and replenishing seven departments. I even had the exciting task of overseeing the buying department’s budget. Talk about a balancing act!
At Swanson Health Products, I took on the role of National Brand Buyer in the Health and Supplement Industry. I handled the buying and replenishing of over 3,000 dietary supplements, body care, and organic foods items. Keeping track of inventory was my jam, and I made sure to prepare inventory reports to catch any discrepancies. Plus, I got to collaborate with marketing, product development, and quality control to ensure everything was FDA-approved and label claims were on point.
Throughout my career, I’ve been a pro at collaborating with different teams, attending corporate planning meetings, and even mentoring and managing assistant buyers. I’ve always been focused on profitability and productivity, analyzing each department to make any necessary changes to meet our goals. And let’s not forget about my awesome vendor relations skills. I’ve always been able to negotiate units, cost, and margin assistance like a boss.
